5 tips for better time-management

1. Create a daily plan either the morning of your day or the night before you go to sleep. The plan gives you an overview of how the day will pan out.

2. Put a time limit on your activities. If you have a plan, stick to. It’s amazing how much more you’ll get done in the day.

3. Use a calendar to plan your schedule weeks and even months ahead. This will also ensure you don’t double-book.
4. Learn to say “no”. Don’t take on any more than you can handle. Watch for distractions and learn to identify people or activities that take up a lot of your time so you are ready to delay them if they approach.

5. Set yourself reminders: most mobile phones have an alarm feature. If there’s something important you need to do or somewhere important you need to be, set the alarm for 15 minutes before the due time. This should give you adequate warning time.

Bad Hair Day for American Granny

A 72 year old woman was arrested early last month on the way to her hair-dressing appointment. The South Carolina grandma was reportedly driving at 102 miles an hour in a 45 miles per hour zone, moving her car “all over the road”.

The greased lightning granny was later charged with reckless driving and released on bail. According to a police report, the woman was aware she was driving well over the speed limit.

It is unknown if she made it to her appointment on time.
