What’s Killing Over 1850 Australians Every Single Year?

Look around you. Did you know that 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70? It’s a scary thought, isn’t it? With so many messages out there about doing little things to stop the prevalence of sunburn, you would think people would start to pay attention right?
Check out these interesting facts from SunSmart.
- Over 1,850 Australians die from skin cancer each year.
- Australia has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world.
- Skin cancers account for about 80% of all new cancers diagnosed each year in Australia. Each year, Australians are 4 times more likely to develop a common skin cancer than any other form of cancer.
- Over 430,000 Australians are treated for skin cancer each year – that’s over 1,000 people every day.
Don’t be a statistic.
Make sure you cover yourself in the correct amount of sunscreen or sunblock every time you go outside. We recommend using a UVA, UVB, UVC protection moisturizer on your face as well.

Must Haves For Every Woman’s Wardrobe
Every woman has her own style. Whether she draws inspiration from the latest catwalk trends, fans through endless magazines or develops her own style over the years. Trends come and go, what’s hot one season is out the next. Regardless of which decade is back, every woman should have some classic pieces in her wardrobe that will always be chic and always look remarkable. Here are 3 things that you will always go back to, time and time again.
Dark Wash Jeans
Can be worn casually or dressed up with a killer pair of heels. Look for jeans with a bit of stretch in them as they are the most flattering and the most comfortable. If you are self-conscious about the lower half of your body, choose jeans with a straight leg. Skinny jeans are a trend, not a classic. Classic pairs would be straight leg, boot cut. Also, never buy any pants that are higher than your belly button.
White button down shirt
These shirts can be worn alone or layered with your favourite necklaces. Get one that fits. If the sleeves are too long and it looks baggy then it’s too big. If the buttons are popping, it’s too small. Find one that fits just right. For an extra boost of style find one with a ¾ sleeve.
Turquoise is the colour of choice this summer. Accessories your wardrobe with one or two new pieces from the Grace Designer Jewellery Range. * Turquoise accessories look great with a white skirt!
Jacket
My personal preference is leather. Brown and black are always in style and mix and match well. Don’t fall into the trap of always looking for a jacket to hide your rear as it just makes you look wider. Look for jackets that aren’t boxy and come in a little at the waist. This will give you more shape. A safe investment is to go for a plain colour as you then can feel free to go as patterned as you like with what’s underneath.

Sweat Free
Cattle herding tribes in Kenya use Leleshwa leaves as a traditional and natural deodorant. Young men use them by putting the leaves under their armpits and holding them in place for several minutes.Mint leaves are also believed to have a deodorising effect when used in the same way.

Top Tips For Busy Mums
We know what it’s like to be time-starved! So here are some handy hints on taking a little ‘me’ time without cutting into the family routine.

- Use a foundation/ sunscreen combination. This will cut out a few minutes and protect your skin at the same time.
- Do little chores during television commercials. Apply your facelift or mask and wash it off during the next ad break.
- Start teaching your children chores as soon as they start to walk. This will give you a bit of a break when they can put their toys away for themselves.

Couple Time Can Make A World Of Difference
It’s so easy to fall into a morning routine of getting up and getting ready for work – showering, having coffee, eating and travelling. Instead of these impersonal, assembly-line movements, why not spend 4 minutes a day with your loved ones? Make it part of your routine to just sit down and chat, even if it’s outside on the porch having your morning coffee together. Getting up those few minutes earlier instead of pressing snooze an extra time can do wonders for your relationship with your loved ones.

Your Guide To Happiness Part 7

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want. ~Margaret Young
Happiness habits of happy people
Self Care
Take care of your mind, body and health. Get regular medical check ups. Eat healthy and work out. Get plenty of rest. Drink lots of water. Exercise your mind by continually energizing it with interesting and exciting challenges.
Self Confidence
Don’t try to be someone that you’re not. After all no one likes a phony. Determine who you are on the inside – your own personal likes and dislikes. Be confident in who you are. Do the best you can and don’t second guess yourself.
Take Responsibility
Happy people know and understand that they are 100% responsible for their life. They take responsibility for their moods, attitude, thoughts, feelings, actions and words. They are the first to admit when they’ve made a mistake.
Begin today by taking responsibility for your own happiness. Work on developing these habits as your own. The more you incorporate the above habits into your daily lifestyle – the happier you will be.
Most of all: BE TRUE TO YOURSELF.
Have a happy day.
