By Grace Cosmetics
Lipliner can be a girl’s best friend but have you ever wondered why your lipliner looks sharp and strong on the top lip and then fat and smudgey on the bottom? It’s all in the angle you hold the pencil. Don’t swap it around from lip to lip. The best angle is just below about 45 degrees for both.

Bronzed Holiday Makers

By Grace Cosmetics

Have you ever wished you could fill in the many boring hours of a delayed flight to your dream destination? What if you were flying to Hawaii? Would you look for something quick and easy to do before boarding? The beauty savvy executives at UK’s Gatwick Airport have found the perfect solution to cure your beauty fix.

gatwick glowGatwick Airport is now offering The Gatwick Glow, a free St. Tropez spray tan to get you in perfect vacationing condition.

Kim Francis, the marketing manager of Gatwick Airport explained the facility’s decision to go bronze:

“Gatwick Glow is designed to give our passengers a boost. We want them to head off on their holiday feeling great about themselves. And, with almost half of holidaymakers worrying about burning on the first day, we’ve partnered with St Tropez to offer the spray tan facility so passengers can fly off already sunkissed, which we hope will prevent them from overdoing it on the beach.”

So far the tanning is only being offered through the weekend, but if you ask us, the idea is pretty genius.

Fake Tan: Yay or Nay?

By Grace Cosmetics

girl with fake tanPick up any magazine and the majority of the models inside will be sporting a golden glow, regardless of the season. Now we all know that it’s simply not possible to achieve that perfect tan without baking for hours and risking sun cancer – but the little bottles of fake tan have made life a little sunnier for all involved.

Although the term “fake” has negative connotations, brands market their products as self-tanning, bronzing and summer glow. Celebrities such as Christina Aguilera and Victoria Beckham are key advocates of this craze, but will it ever be considered classy?

The streaks that most people get on application are tell-tale signs of a bottle job, instead of the alluring perception many try to achieve of a weekend in the Bahamas.

So if you’re pro-fake tanning, ensure that you properly exfoliate and moisturize your skin. Do your homework when selecting which products to use and always remember: you weren’t born a carrot so you’re not meant to be orange!
